Update
Greetings Gentlereaders,
I apologize for our lack of articles this week. The fortress monastery has been buzzing with the flood of Tau information over the last week and I especially have been devouring them. We've put another episode of our podcast in the can and we ave been busy with homework and other responsibilities.
I've been getting some paint on my seer council and hammering out the color schemes for the eldar army. Until now, I'd been working on the mechanized infantry that composed most of the army from 5th, which came with its own scheme by aspect. I've put up questions on Da Wartrukk and got some help finding what colors work with my main craftworld color and will be trying to get more work done on the council this week.
Corvus will be publishing his next entry in Tomb World this week and I think you'll like it. I'll be ending Coming Back from the Brink as the codex it covers will soon be updated. I will be writing about the new codex and if you would like I'll go into the same level of detail as I did with the old one. We'll all try to get more content up, though our last semester in the fortress monastery is winding down and we'll all be going on our separate crusades soon.

Tau Idea
Greetings Gentlereaders,
Since everyone's throwing out rumors for Tau I thought I'd throw out an idea of my own. This is my creation; this is not a rumor. One of the trends I've seen with sixth edition is the increasing emphasis on the back story being represented in the rules. I've got no idea what, if any, codex-wide special rules will be present in the new codex, but here's one I would enjoy seeing for its representation of the philosophy of Tau'va. I'm not sure how balanced it would be and I'd love your opinions on this idea. Rules text an what not hidden after the break.

Eldar List and Battle Report
Greetings Gentlereaders,
If you've been reading the rumor mill lately you may share my excitement as to the upcoming release of the Tau and Eldar codices. Until these rumored books drop, or even more than rumors appear I'm trying to get the current books to work in new and interesting ways. Recently Godfrey and I had a game where we both took our oldest armies, allied in some 5th edition friends and went at it. While the game turned out to be a rather neat table for Godfrey I think I came out with some new knowledge as to how to run my eldar and how best to run the army's concept, at least until the new codex drops.

The Symbiosis of 40k
Greetings, tidings, and general hellos. A topic has been rattling around in my mind with regards to 40k, and that is the element of symbiotic relationships. While my first encounter with the thought was working to explain the weakness of the Imperial Guard to Corvus and Heretic, I recognize now that it extends much more progressively in the new codexes we've seen since the dawn of 6th edition. So what exactly is this topic referring to...?
Symbiosis: (from Ancient Greek σύν "together" and βίωσις "living") is close and often long-term interaction between two or more different biological species. Some symbiotic relationships are obligate, meaning that both symbionts entirely depend on each other for survival. For example, many lichens consist of fungal and photosynthetic symbionts that cannot live on their own. Others are facultative, meaning that they can, but do not have to live with the other organism.

I Love a Good Plan, Don't You?
I hope you'll all read this in my voice |
I've been thinking about the general philosophy of how to build a list. There's been a long running debate as to how much the armies you expect to face should factor into your list construction. Is it better to prepare to respond to any opponent, or to prepare to make your opponent respond to you? While a matter of personal preference, I've always been one for plans. However, the game has changed with the two, soon to be three codices of sixth edition, and especially the addition of alliances to the game. For the tournament player, having a plan for what to do in each game is the first step to victory. Let's look at the type of plans we'll have to be making, shall we?
