Good day fleet commanders, and welcome to Rites of Battle. Corvus here with another riveting observation and opinion piece. With the Star Wars Store Championship season in full swing (Havoc and I haven't had a weekend off this year between 40k, Armada, and X-Wing) it's lead to a lot of time spent playing, and unfortunately that's left little time to pause and reflect. But today, reflect I shall, and on the hottest topic of the Armada circuit: Admiral Ackbar.

The Time for Attack: Rebel Armada (Wave I)

Fellow Rebels, the Imperials believe they have us beat, but I bring good news and hope, our first wave of reinforcements is arriving! Our fighters will overwhelm the enemy, and take shelter in the mighty wings of our frigates. Lock wings to attack position, and let's being our attack run; the first wave is here!

Ruling Through Fear: Imperial Armada (Starter)

In regards to the better half of the Armada starter, I’m Warmaster Havok and I’m here to give my thoughts on the Imperial side. As per the standard of any of the Star Wars stuff, I picked up all of the Imperial sides of the two starters that Corvus and I picked up because there is little that is more satisfying than destroying Corvus' Rebel scum when ever they poke their heads out of what ever hole they are hiding in.

For those of you who love(d) BFG and who wanted something just a little more grand than X-Wing, you've probably been exposed to some of my enthusiasm for Armada. This is a game for thinkers, long term planners, and anyone who loved the fleet battles in the movies, especially Return of the Jedi. So, as is my tradition from X-Wing, I've snapped up the Rebels, and today, I'm going over the starter.
