The Arrival of the Knights & Thoughts on Enhancing the Quality of the 40k Experience

Hey there everyone, and welcome back to Rites of Battle.  While my personal life has pretty much crumbled under my feet, I thought it unfair to neglect my responsibilities to those of you who return time and again to read about 40k.  While I have been somewhat detached from news, some things haven't completely escaped my eyes and ears, and it seems that these are sparking quite the discussion on the Wartrukk regarding the state of the game.  This got me thinking yet again on how to improve some of what I perceive as weak points, and even failings on the part of the Games Workshop design team, and while I won't claim to have perfect solutions, It has always been taught to me that you should try to present some alternatives or solutions if you are going to voice a dissenting opinion of the topic at hand.  Not only this, but I'd love to give a quick thought on the spark of the whole debate, as well as some shout outs to recent events.

It's a jam packed article, so sit down, strap in, and enjoy.

Inside Look: Eisenkern Storrmtroopers (Dreamforge Games)

Hey guys, Corvus here, hijacking one of Godfrey's usual series to take a quick peek at something he and I have been interested in since GenCon: the new Eisenkern models from DreamForge Games. After the stir their Kickstarter caused, we felt compelled to check them out and take a look at their models firsthand. Most people may have kicked in for their titans, but after visiting the booth, I could only think about their infantry. So, join me as I crack open their 20 man squad and see if it was worth it.

Honor the Codex: Pt. 11 List Construction (Chapter Tactics Revisited)

Well, we've reviewed literally every single option available to us. The codex, ForgeWorld (FW Chapter Tactics notwithstanding), Fortifications, Lords of War, and even allies. The question that remains for us is this: how do all the pieces of this puzzle fit together? The first step to composing our list may surprise you. This article is massive though, and if you don't want or need the full break down on each and every Chapter, I'd highly recommend utilizing the handy CTRL+F shortcut for your browser, and finding your Chapter that way.

Heresy in the Library - Scars

Greetings good people and welcome back. Trooper here with another installment of "Heresy in the Library", where I review Black Library publications and let you, the reader at the other end of the data-slate, know how it is! Up for this review is the latest Horus Heresy mini-release turned major book, Scars. A look into the often mysterious and dubiously loyal White Scars Legion as they figure out who they can trust, who they need to fight, and everything else in between. There are the Wolves, lots of Primarchs, and space mongols. So sit back, grab some amasec, and enjoy my review of "Scars"!
